Corrupción en Estados Unidos

Dear friend,
While Arizonans are paying more for groceries, gas, housing, and healthcare, Donald Trump and his family are making billions through shady cryptocurrency ventures and business deals with foreign interests. Since returning to the White House, Trump has reportedly made over $2.2 billion through his businesses and investments. He even tried to extort $10 billion of taxpayer money by suing the IRS, an agency he controls.

Meanwhile, his friends and business partners like Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are traveling the world making deals without the State Department and getting even richer off their relationships overseas.

Donald Trump should be focused on lowering costs for American families, not growing his own fortune. In Congress, I’ve been fighting to hold this administration accountable, protect taxpayer dollars, and crack down on corruption in Washington:

  • Fought to block Trump’s attempted $1.8 billion insurrectionist slush fund by cosponsoring legislation and signing a discharge petition to prevent the payments.
  • Called for an investigation into Trump’s accepting a $400 million luxury jet from Qatar that required between $900 million and $1.5 billion to convert into a second Air Force One
  • Helped introduce the Protecting Our Democracy Act to strengthen presidential ethics rules, increase transparency, and protect whistleblowers
  • Backed bipartisan legislation to ban stock trading by lawmakers and federal officials so lawmakers can’t use their positions to profit from information the public doesn’t have
  • Backed bills to stop federal employees from insider trading or profiting off their knowledge through bets on prediction markets like Kalshi

No one should be above the law, including the President. I’ll keep fighting to root out corruption, hold those in power accountable, and make sure Washington is working for Arizona families, not just the wealthy and well-connected.

As always, my Arizona and D.C. teams are here to help. If there’s anything we can do for you, call us at 833-643-6114 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. We hope to hear from you soon.

All the best
Greg Stanton
Member of Congress
